EV Charger

How to Use the EV Charger:

Before You Start:

1. Check Compatibility:

  • The Tesla Universal level 2 EV Charger is compatible with all Tesla models and most other EVs using the provided adapter.

2. Locate the Charger:

  • The EV Charger is located in the garage.

Charging Your Vehicle:

1. Prepare the Level 2 EV Charger:

  • Unwind the charging cable from its holder.
  • If you’re driving a non-Tesla EV, find the adapter attached to the charging cable.

2. Plug in Your Vehicle:

  • For Tesla Vehicles:
    • Simply press the button on the charging connector to open your vehicle’s charge port.
    • Insert the connector into the charge port until it clicks into place. The vehicle will start charging automatically, indicated by a pulsing green light on the charge port.
  • For Non-Tesla Vehicles:
    • Attach the provided adapter to the charging connector.
    • Plug the connector with the adapter into your vehicle’s charge port. The charging process will begin automatically.

3. Monitor the Charging Process:

  • Check your vehicle’s dashboard or app to monitor the charging status.

After Charging:

1. Stop Charging:

  • For all Tesla Models :
    • Press the button on the charging connector to stop charging and unlock the connector.
    • Remove the connector from the charge port.
  • For most other EVs :
    • Follow the instructions provided by your vehicle’s manufacturer to stop charging.
    • Remove the connector with the adapter from the charge port.

2. Store the Charger:

  • Wind the charging cable back onto its holder.
  • If you used the adapter, please store it back in its designated spot.

Troubleshooting:

1. Charging Issues:

  • If the vehicle is not charging, ensure the connector is properly inserted and that the charger is securely plugged into the outlet.
  • Check for any error messages on your vehicle’s display or app.

2. Resetting the Charger:

  • If needed, unplug the charger from the outlet, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in to reset it.

Safety Tips:

  • Always ensure the charging cable is clear of any obstacles or standing water.
  • Do not use the charger if it appears damaged or malfunctioning.
